Nice and friendly neighborhood cafe at Bernal Heights. Makes you feel at home every time. This is a great cafe for both families and singles, almost like a community center. They have also books and toys for kids. Open until late afternoon. Large parklet in addition to the indoor seating. It's a cool place to have breakfast, lunch, or just coffee. Good free live music on Saturday or Sunday afternoons on most of the weekends. On Friday mornings, Bernal Bakery brings yummy fresh bread and pastries, accompanied by soft live music.

We were so delighted to stumble across this gem. Charlie was so warm and welcoming and made us feel like we were old friends coming in for a visit. He was so attentive to our three-year-old and made her feel so comfortable. We had the Mediterranean Platter and it felt like getting a home cooked meal- it was delicious and clearly made with love. We'll definitely come by again the next time we're in that part of town.

Fun , friendly proprietor . Nice place to relax across the street from serene precita park. Spring 2025 " Thursday evening pizza" - don't miss this weekly, family & kid friendly popup. Grab a slice of natty,s famous pie, top it off with a cold beer or glass of wine.

Great coffee in a quite neighbourhood. The owner is very nice and breakfast are good. We took an airbnb not very far from there and went for breakfast every morning

The coffee is great at Charlie’s. The sandwiches are great. The chai is great. But even more than that, Charlie and all the people who work there are warm and friendly and make my day better.

I come here every weekend after taking my dog to the nearby park. The hot link sandwich is one of the best sandwiches ive ever had, and there's a lot of competition in the city. Charlie's food is legit, and it's a great spot to get in touch with local goings on.
